About us

Wesley Chapel UMC - Kingsville is a small country church in the western section of Johnson County, Missouri. Wesley Chapel is located about 5 miles north of Kingsville, MO. Wesley Chapel was formed by the local families around the neighborhood, and the church building was built by those families, opening in 1880.

 

Wesley Chapel has an annual ice cream social that draws people from several counties.

Our sanctuary seats about 76. We have a Sunday morning service and a Wednesday evening Bible Study. Wesley Chapel is available for weddings and funerals. There is also a cemetery adjacent to the church.

David Mortenson is our pastor. David is a part time pastor. David was the Lay Leader at Wesley Chapel for several years, being appointed in 2018 as the Senior Pastor.
